The Psychic Geode Pokemon: Regigigas encountered many Dottler and Boldore while journeying through cave systems. Inspired by the crystals and the hypnotic dots from the Dottler, he traveled to Area Zero and created Regithyst. A series of bright yellow dots cover Regithyst's body which can flash at rapid speeds. Studies have shown these dots to be made of hardened crystals, and are harder than steel. If the dots on Regithysts body start flashing in unison, the target will fall into a trance and will do Regithyst's bidding. Despite this, Regithyst typically uses the target as a translator so it can speak with humans.
In battle, Regithyst will flash the dots on its body in a rapid, random sequence to cause its opponent to have a sensory overload. It prefers to keep a distance from its opponents because it has no real physical combat prowess, and despite its rocky body, it is extremely fragile.
