In the beginning Arceus created the universe, and our planet was just an enormous globe filled with water. When Ometheos was assigned to take care of our world it took the decision to create its first life form. This was the first time ever that Ometheos used its power, making its first creation rather recklessly, as a result Jalius came to be.

This colossal marine pokemon lurked the world under the sea with eternal hunger, devouring any other creation that Ometheos attempted to place within our world. It then understood that the power of life had to be divided into smaller pieces, so it decided to create 4 pokemon that channeled its energy in order to be able to put Jalius under control, giving birth to Toteoca, Yaoca, Koatoca and Zilpoca.

Yaoca lured Jalius from the depths using itself as bait, causing it to lose one of its legs to the colossal pokemon. Once out, Koatoca directed the attack with its brothers. This battle lasted for over a year, since the might of Jalius' body was too big to be taken all at once. The Oca Pokemon managed finally to make a crack in its shell made of rock and sand liberating the enormous temperature housed within Jalius debilitating the creature.

The cloud of steam and dust was so large that it covered the whole world. This was used by Koatoca to create the first soil, and the opportunity to step in what we call the land for the first time.

Ometheos having learned about its own limits, sealed the beast far beyond in the profound depths where no one could ever awake it again, and decided to divide its essence in two beings: Groudon and Kyogre, both in charge of expanding the Land and ocean, clashing in eternal equilibrium. This energy is what keeps Jalius at bay through the millenia.
