Shuyaku often are chased off by farmers as they latch onto their livestock to maintain their nutrients during their first evolutionary stage. To also do this they merge into their evolutions, Shumari and Shutasu. Once they have gained enough nutrients to stay alive they will pop off and return to the wild. Once again an independent Pokemon until its next feeding.
