Gillydim are timid Pokémon and become frightened when someone is looking at them. They hide their faces behind their glowing mushroom caps to try and scare everyone else away.
Gillydim almost always remain hidden in the swamps, using the faces on their caps only to deter threats. On a certain night of the year, however, they become bold and will leave the mire in search of victims to scare.
