Davlocke trudge along beneath the waves, sweeping their eerie lights back and forth across the seafloor as if looking for something. The anchor-like structures on their backs hold them in place against deep ocean currents so they aren't swept away while they search.
Divers exploring sunken shipwrecks are often surprised by the sudden appearance of searching Davlocke. The Davlocke think that someone has come to aid their mysterious quest and, if that person tries to leave, will drag them back to the wreck to keep searching forever.
